Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare ILT is a course that is an essential step in your learning journey. It’s designed to empower you to implement Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare. It will give you an initial idea on the main scenarios from healthcare industry and how the solution solves for each scenario. The course will help you to understand each of the Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare solution capabilities and practice configuring them for the scenarios. The course will also give you a jump start on Azure Health Data Service configuration and scenarios.

This module introduces Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare and the capabilities that are included in each solution package.

In this module, you will:

  • Learn about the current healthcare trends and demands.
  • Discover the basics of Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare.
  • Learn about priority healthcare scenarios and featured capabilities of the solution.

Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare data model

This module describes the healthcare data model that is included in the Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare solutions. The healthcare data model for Microsoft Dynamics 365 is based on the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards framework.

In this module, you will:

  • Learn about Common Data Model.
  • Learn about the Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare data model.
  • Learn about Common Data Model extensibility.

Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare training environment preparation

This module will walk you through the process of obtaining prerequisite trial licenses to deploy Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare solutions. This lab will be used in the subsequent modules in this Learning Path. The Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare is a conflux of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Power Platform. To take full advantage of the Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare solution and this Learning Path, it is recommended to have access to all three clouds. If you already have a Microsoft 365 tenant and licenses for all Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare apps, then you can skip this module and proceed to the next module in this Learning Path.

Manage healthcare data with Care Management in Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare

The Care Management application, as part of Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare, allows health organizations to view and manage their healthcare data in one place. It helps providers create, personalize, and view care plans, in addition to managing care teams, viewing clinical timelines, and acquiring health analytics.

In this module, you will:

  • Explore the Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare data model.
  • Navigate the Care Management application.
  • Create a new location record for Lamna Healthcare Company.

Patient outreach in Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare

The Patient Outreach application in Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare focuses on patient campaign management, which helps you organize and automate marketing and communicate with patients. It helps healthcare providers reach out to their communities and patients in a targeted, efficient way. Providers can choose email, text, regular mail, or a combination, to provide healthcare information to specific groups of patients and community members.

In this module, you will:

  • Create a patient segment.
  • Create a marketing email.
  • Create a patient journey.
  • Create a virtual healthcare marketing event.

Home health in Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare

In this module you will learn how to empower health team collaboration within a healthcare organization by using the Home Health application in the Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare. With the Home Health application, provider personnel can schedule appointments for the patient based on various factors. You can view patient information directly in context, and a guided business process flow ensures each measure is taken prior to and after booking the appointment. In this module, you will:

  • Create a bookable resource.
  • Configure the schedule board.
  • Use care management components with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service Mobile app.

Azure Health Bot in Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare

In this module, you'll explore the Azure Health Bot and discover how healthcare organizations can use it to build and deploy AI-powered, compliant, conversational healthcare experiences at scale. The Azure Health Bot combines built-in medical database with natural language capabilities to understand clinical terminology and can be easily customized to support your organization's clinical use cases. The service ensures alignment with industry compliance requirements and is privacy protected to HIPAA standards.

In this module, you will:

  • Set up Azure Health Bot
  • Configure Dynamics 365 Customer Service Omnichannel Live Chat
  • Embed Azure Health Bot in a Power Apps Portal
  • Extend Azure Health Bot with custom scenarios

Enable patients to access the Patient Access portal

Provide patients with access to their health data, appointment scheduling, and information through the Patient Access portal and the Patient Service Center.

In this module, you will:

Virtual visits in Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare

In this module, you'll learn how to configure the Virtual Clinic application as part of the Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare. The Virtual Clinic application allows clinicians to use video conferencing to provide high-quality, personalized, and affordable consultations. Using the entire meetings platform in Microsoft Teams, providers can schedule, manage, and conduct virtual visits with patients.

In this module, you'll:

  • Configure the Virtual Clinic app

Introduction to Azure Health Data Services

Azure Health Data Services is a managed platform as a service (PaaS) based on OpenAPI standards and frameworks that enable more secure and scalable health data solutions. Azure Health Data Services empowers Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare and other health workloads by enabling more secure and compliant paths to ingest, persist, and connect health data in the cloud. Azure Health Data Services is a set of tools and connectors that enable organizations to bring health data to the Microsoft Cloud and improve health through insights.

In this module, you'll:

Work with medical imaging data and DICOM

DICOM® (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) is the international standard for medical images, imaging formats, and related information. It's the ISO 12052 standard that defines the data quality and exchange specifications for images to meet clinical use requirements. Digitization of medical imaging data by using the DICOM standard will enable health data interoperability. Microsoft cloud is equipped to ingest, persist, and connect DICOM imaging data to help improve patient outcomes.
